SKIIER CONOR LYNE will carry the Irish flag at Friday’s Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
The 20-year-old, who lives in Utah, has been given the honour for the traditional Parade of Nations at the Olympic Stadium in Sochi.
Skiiers Florence Bell and Jan Rossiter, snowboarder Seamus O’Connor, and skeleton racer Sean Greenwood complete Ireland’s five-person team for the Games, which run until 23 February.
